Career
Adisa started his career as the financial officer of Kabee Luxury Intercontinental Limited in 2000 and worked in this position until 2004 when he moved to Lagos to work as Accounts Manager at Stallion Home Savings and Loan Limited.
He was in charge of preparing periodic returns for the Central Bank of Nigeria, Nigeria Deposit Insurance Corporation and Federal mortgage Bank return. It was his first time of handling financial report preparation at that level and Adisa excelled at his job.
In 2006, he moved to ZOOM MOBILE (formerly RELTEL Wireless) as senior accountant. During the period, ZOOM was one of the biggest CDMA telecom players in the country and Adisa, as senior accountant, ensured the financial reporting of the company was always well done. After four years at ZOOM, Adisa left the company to work briefly with KARRINGTON GROUP and SOLID HOMES LIMITED.
In 2012, Adisa was employed by Dangote Cement Plc, Ibese as Financial Accountant. His work at Dangote includes carrying out valuation, comparing it with General Ledger balances, ad investigating and reconciling differences. He also interfaces with Stores, Foreign Procurement and Clearing and financial accounts to record and determine landed costs of foreign spares and assets in transit. He also computes monthly process costing of Raw Materials, Work in Progress and Finish Goods and other costing reports as may be required from time to time.
All these tasks are crucial to the smooth running of Dangote and Adisa takes his job seriously and earns the praise of his bosses. There is no doubt that Adisa is an accomplished professional who has worked at the highest level of corporate accounting.
In 2016, the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Nigeria (ICAN) inducted Adisa as a fellow of the Institute. This is unarguably the highest honour earned through dint of hard work and professionalism in Nigerian accountancy practice.
Adisa is a firm believer in self-development and he has undertaken trainings to improve his skills and performance at his job. He has attended the following trainings and workshops, all aimed at developing himself;
