Okuku and Ife in the state of Osun have produced either governor or deputy
governor, it is now the turn of Iwoland son/daughter to occupy the number one
seat.

November 2010 under Peoples Democratic Party: His deputy was Erelu Olusola

Ogbeni Rauf Aregbesola (Ilesa) 26 Nov 2010 till date.
His deputy is Otunba (Mrs.) Grace Titilayo Laoye.
26 years after the state’s creation Iwoland deserved a
shot at the highest political office in the state. The quest for an
Iwolandmanian as governor can only be achieved through unity of purpose,
sensitization, networking with other sub-groups and fielding of credible
candidates across all the major political parties.
